Her skills include the treatment of depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, high-functioning autism, and women’s issues. She also helps people cope with job and relationship stress, as well as with transitions and loss.

Dr. Rosenkoetter recognizes that anxiety often results when people begin psychotherapy, so she strives to create a warm and accepting environment in which her clients can feel secure. Through collaboration with her clients, treatment goals are established that range from crisis management and stabilization to symptom reduction to self-actualization and personal fulfillment. Her approach to psychotherapy is grounded in psychodynamic principles. This means that Dr. Rosenkoetter assists in enhancing her clients’ self-awareness and understanding of how past experiences influence their current behavior. She also incorporates cognitive-behavioral techniques, humanistic understanding and mindfulness into her practice. Finally, she espouses the value of healthy eating and exercise in maintaining good mental health.
