Bonnie SnyderBonny Snyder, MA, LMHC, graduated from Saint Martin’s University in 2012 with her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. Bonny completed her internship and obtained her LMHC credentials while working at Greater Lakes Mental Healthcare in Lakewood.  While at Greater Lakes, she worked as a Child and Family Therapist as well as an Adult Therapist.  She was also part of a specialized crisis team and assisted clients dealing with mental health crisis situations.  After leaving Greater Lakes, Bonny worked as a private practitioner at the Burien Center for Health and Wellness for a year and a half.  There she worked primarily with adults, couples and adolescents.  Bonny also has credentials in EMDR Therapy through EMDRIA and has been a credentialed Hypnotherapist since 2004.

Bonny specializes in helping individuals recover from simple and complex trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem issues and life changes.  She also enjoys working with couples and is currently receiving training in The Gottman Method.  Bonny believes that we all face challenges and difficulties at times, and she provides a nurturing, caring environment in which individuals can feel safe to explore inner truths and move toward recovery and healing.  She tailors her approach to fit the client, and she is skilled in a wide variety of treatment approaches that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, EMDR therapy and Hypnotherapy.
